Drama society

At Rhenish High the Drama Society is made up of two components: The Drama Committee and The Drama Club.

The Drama Committee is a board of seniors set up last year to organise events at Rhenish in order to raise funds to buy new sound and lighting equipment for our hall and stage. Thus far we have only one event under our belt (Miss Personality 2007) but have quite a few new, fun and exciting ideas in store for 2008.

The Drama Club is open to the entire school. It allows for the learners to come once or twice a week after school and take part in workshops and classes organised by our drama teachers. These workshops and classes teach you a variety of skills needed in theatre,e.g. stage make-up, acting, and light and sound management. Unfortunately the Drama Club has come to a bit of a stand still this year because of our very big and exciting 2008 production “Little Shop of Horrors”. It should however be up and running after the production in May.
