The Rhenish Marimba band welcomed the MV Logos Hope to Cape Town on 23 June 2016

The world’s biggest floating library, MV Logos Hope, docked in the Mother City on 23 June 2016 and the Rhenish Marimba band, along with Ms de Villiers and Lusi Sesanti (matric 2014), were there to welcome her, those who sail on her and all of her many visitors.

The floating library’s purpose is to bring “Knowledge, Help and Hope to the nations of the world”.  On a previous visit by her predecessor and sister ship, the MV Doulos, over 82 000 visitors boarded while she was docked in two of SA’s ports.

The ship is open to the public from 24 June to 11 July.
