Model United Nations Debating
On Wednesday the 10 February, Rhenish fielded three teams in a Model United Nations Debate for the first time ever.
Rhenish represented Syria (Michelle Gelderblom, Isabelle Fowler and Okara Opara), Switzerland (Estelle Hislop, Holley Wilson and Lauren Claasen) and Canada (Tamia Abrahams, Simphiwe Masilo and Megan Roos). They took part of a simulation of the World Humanitarian Summit, where they discussed the future of the humanitarian system.
Congratulations to Syria, whose Resolution was passed, and to Switzerland who won third best delegation. Congratulations to the five debaters who were doing Model United Nations Debating for the first time! They did exceptionally well. There were also Rhenish members who started learning the ropes by watching the debate. We look forward to seeing them and the girls who could not make it in future debates.
