Matrics of 2016 Excel in NSC

A closer look at the results of the matric class of 2016 in the National Senior Certificate reveals that they exceeded all expectations.

The matric class of 2016 has delivered on their potential with astoundingly good results.

Rhenish Girls’ High is pleased that the 100% pass rate – maintained for over thirty years – has once again been achieved.  In addition, 98,7% of the class of 139 girls achieved a Bachelor’s Pass which enables them to further their studies at tertiary level.

Rhenish’s top achiever, Priyanka Govender, garnered 8 distinctions and her average of 95,3% has secured her a spot in the Top 20 in the Western Cape.  Priyanka is delighted with her results.  Says Priyanka, "I'm deeply grateful to the Rhenish staff and community of girls for their support, and the matrics for supporting one another, as they've made my result, and Rhenish's amazing overall result this year, possible."  Priyanka intends to further her studies in 2017 at Stellenbosch University where she will be studying Engineering (Mechatronics) where she hopes, "...to be part of a generation of South Africans that encourages more non-white females to venture into STEM careers>"

The matric class produced:
