Chess at Rhenish Girls' High School has grown significantly in recent years, attracting learners of all skill levels who enjoy the challenge and excitement of the game. The club provides a welcoming environment where learners develop strategic thinking, concentration, problem-solving skills, and resilience while building friendships through healthy competition. These are skills that support both academic and personal growth.

Learners meet twice a week for coaching and practice sessions under the guidance of an experienced external coach. Throughout the year, players have the opportunity to represent the school at interschool fixtures and chess tournaments, where they continue to develop their skills and compete with confidence.
